To achieve this look, simply paint your lower level cabinets a darker shade, such as black or grey. If you want to have more fun with it, paint them a deep blue or green to add even more dimension to your space. Paint your upper cabinets white to create a beautiful contrast between the two levels. And that’s it! Your kitchen feels open and looks more modern. (If you want to go the extra mile, update your hardware as well!)
